Joining Purpl takes three steps - create your account, verify that you're eligible, then choose a membership. Most people are through in under ten minutes, and the only thing you need to hand is a photo of a document that proves your disability.
What you'll need before you start
- A photo of an accepted document e.g. a Blue Badge, Access Card, Disabled Bus Pass or PIP award letter are the most common.
- An email address you can access, because we send a code to it.
- A UK mobile number.
- A payment card, for the membership itself.
Don't have one of the listed documents? You can still create an account and then select 'I don't have one of these' option that guides you through the alternatives.
Creating your Purpl account
You can sign up through the Purpl website or via the Purpl app.
- Select Join Purpl or Create an account.
-
Choose how you want to sign up
You can either:
- Enter your details manually OR
- Sign up using Google, Facebook or Apple
If you use Apple, we recommend not choosing Hide My Email, as this can make it harder for Purpl to send you important account and customer service emails.
-
If applicable enter your contact details
Enter your name, email address and mobile phone number.
Purpl sends login codes to your phone, so make sure the number is correct and that you can receive text messages.
-
Verify your login
Enter the code sent to your mobile phone to continue.
Only request one code at a time, as a new code may cancel the previous one.
-
Upload your disability evidence
Choose the type of evidence you have and upload a clear photo or screenshot. The first list shows documents that can be automatically verified. If you have one of the other documents that require manual verification you can do this on the next screen.See Which documents can I use to verify my Purpl membership?
-
Complete your subscription
Once your evidence has been approved, choose your membership option and complete payment.
Your account will then become active and you can start using Purpl discounts through the website or app.
You will receive a welcome email from [email protected]. We recommend adding this email to your contact list to prevent Purpl emails going into your spam folder.
