Am I eligible to join Purpl?

If you have a disability or long-term health condition that is recognised under the Equality Act you are eligible to join Purpl. You can also join on behalf of a disabled person you are a parent, guardian or carer for, with their permission.

Purpl is open to people in the UK who are disabled or living with a long-term health condition that has a substantial and lasting impact on daily life.

Parents and carers can also join using the disabled person’s evidence, as long as they have their permission. The Purpl account should be created in the parent or carer’s name, but the uploaded evidence can belong to the disabled person they support.

You will need to provide an accepted document when you join. This could include:

A PIP, DLA, ADP or CDP award letter
A Blue Badge
A Disabled Person’s Railcard
A Disabled Bus Pass
An Access Card or DID Card
An NHS diagnosis letter
Another document listed in Purpl’s accepted evidence guide

Your evidence must be valid, clear and show the information Purpl needs to confirm your eligibility.

If you do not have one of the accepted documents, you can ask your GP or another health professional to complete Purpl’s Disability or Long-Term Condition Confirmation Form.
