Yes, but the membership belongs to the person you care for, not to you. We cannot accept carer documents as proof. Set the account up in your own name using their disability document, and choose the carer option when you register.
A parent, carer or guardian can join Purpl on behalf of a disabled person, as long as they have that person’s permission.
Create the Purpl account using your own name, email address and mobile phone number. When you reach the verification stage, upload the disabled person’s accepted evidence.
Purpl does not accept documents that only prove you are a carer. The evidence must show that the person you care for is disabled or living with an eligible long-term health condition that qualifies as a disability under the Equality Act.
Once the account is verified and the membership is active, you can use Purpl discounts when shopping for the disabled person or the household you support. Discounts must not be shared with friends, relatives or anyone outside the eligible household.
Who can use the discounts?
The membership exists to reduce the cost of living with a disability, and that cost is usually shared across a household.
