Purpl Community Grant Fund – How to Apply, Eligibility & FAQs

2 min readUpdated 21 October 2026

The Purpl Community Grant Fund provides financial support to Purpl members living with disabilities or long-term health conditions.

We know that living with a disability can bring additional costs, which is why we’ve created the Fund to help with practical needs that improve independence, wellbeing and everyday life.

The Fund runs every three months, giving eligible members the opportunity to apply for financial support of up to £2,000.

Who can apply for the Purpl Community Grant Fund?

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be a subscribed Purpl member when applying and when receiving a grant.
  • Live in the UK.
  • Have a disability or long-term health condition, or be a parent or carer applying on behalf of an immediate family member who does.

Important: The person receiving the support must have a disability or long-term health condition.

How much funding can I apply for?

You can apply for a grant of up to £2,000.

However, this doesn’t mean everyone who is successful will receive £2,000.

The available funding is shared between successful applicants each quarter, and the amount awarded depends on individual needs and the funding available.

We aim to help as many members as possible.

What can the grant be used for?

The Fund is designed to help with disability-related needs that improve your independence, wellbeing or quality of life.

This includes:

  • Mobility equipment – equipment that helps you move around more easily.
  • Therapy and wellbeing support – support that improves your physical or mental wellbeing.
  • Accessibility adaptations – changes that make your home or environment more accessible.
  • Assistive technology – technology or equipment that makes everyday tasks easier.

The Fund doesn’t cover general living expenses, debt repayments, white goods, business costs or purchases you’ve already made.

How do I apply?

You can apply through our Purpl Community Grant Fund page when applications are open.

You’ll be asked to provide information about your circumstances, what you need funding for and how the grant would make a difference to your daily life.

We recommend providing clear information about your needs and the estimated costs.

Please note: Applications are limited each quarter and may close early once the maximum number of applications has been reached.
